When I was playing Star Kingdoms people said I never slept, but thats only because I left my stuff running while I was sleeping and then logged in from classes when I had the chance.

lol - the only time i find myself needing sleep is when im sick or when im used to getting a lot of sleep, for example i can go a week with only getting 5 hours of sleep a night and im fine, but if i get 9 hours every night im always tired and i need at least 9 hours for a while. Kinda hard to explain.

My secret though for not needing sleep is coffee and energy drinks. Thats all ya need.

If you do wipe the drive, see if you can get a better OS for free. Like when I wiped mine I upgraded to XP Pro from XP Home. lol Had to spend a good amount of time getting drivers back but it was completely worth it.

I think i have XP home already though.
